Who are Ultraheat?

Ultraheat have been manufacturing radiators since the 1990s, and have a long standing reputation in the plumbing and heating industry of being durable, shown by the 10 year warranty, whilst having a heat output higher than other radiators in a similar price range. This is not just the "cheap stuff" that you see nowadays that can fail within a couple years, it is a product that is established and trusted by plumbers and households up and down the country!

How do I size a Type 22 radiator (BTU/W)?

Use your room heat loss as the target. Fast math: BTU/h = Watts × 3.412 (or Watts = BTU/h ÷ 3.412). For typical UK rooms, many customers aim for ΔT50 outputs (standard test). If you run cooler systems, increase size by +20 to 40%

How do I install a Type 22 radiator?

Installing a Type 22 radiator involves mounting it securely on brackets, connecting the flow and return pipes, sealing joints properly, and bleeding the system to remove trapped air; for best results, it’s recommended to have installation carried out by a qualified heating engineer.

What does ΔT50 and ΔT60 mean on the product page?

They’re testing deltas, in simple terms the difference between the water temperature inside the radiator and the room air. ΔT50 (Europe/EN442 norm) is the most common. ΔT60 gives a higher number but isn’t apples-to-apples. For fair comparisons across brands and types, compare ΔT50 values. Be very careful, other retaillers sometimes advertise ΔT60 as the standard to give the illusion of higher heat output, so please make sure to check!
